During the Transfer of Authority ceremony, BG Valas thanked Colonel Nosza for his exceptional leadership and service at NATO HQ Sarajevo, recognizing Hungary’s commitment to NHQSa mission in BiH.

From the quality and capabilities of the personnel it sends here, it is clear to me how important Hungary views the international mission in BiH, and how important Hungary is to both the NATO and EUFOR operations.

The incoming Chief of Staff, Colonel Kiss, thanked the Hungarian military leadership for their trust in providing him with the opportunity to support the NATO HQ Sarajevo mission in an international environment.

“It is a pleasure and an honor for me to join NATO Headquarters Sarajevo for the second time, and to contribute to NATO’s important mission in supporting BiH Defense and Security Sector Reform, as well as in supporting the EUFOR ALTHEA mission.”

The ceremony was attended by NATO HQ Sarajevo and EUFOR leadership, as well as representatives of Allied and Partner nations serving on Camp Butmir.
