NATO funded awareness raising campaign NATO Perspektiva programme

Within the framework of the activities implemented by NATO in BiH and in line with the overall support to the defense reform process, NATO HQ Sarajevo (NHQ Sa) supported the implementation of an awareness raising campaign aimed at providing relevant information to the different stakeholders in BiH about the NATO PERSPEKTIVA Programme (NPP). In order to maximize the impact of the campaign experts from NHQ Sa and IOM designed a multi-media approach combining different messages targeting different audiences. The specific objectives of the information campaign were: (1) to inform the general public of NATO activities in BiH, (2) to emphasize (and provide figures of) NHQSa support to the Defence Reform, (3) to promote NATO values, (4) to show positive examples of NPP assistance, (5) to inform beneficiaries on how to apply for the NPP assistance. On Wednesday 14th December 2011, a TV appearance on the ATV Banja Luka, was organized. The one-hour show gave the opportunity to represent achieved results by NATO's HQ Sarajevo Col. Dr. John Olsen, Deputy Commander NATO HQ -Sarajevo, Mr. Sead Muratović, assistant of the Ministry from Ministry of Defence BiH and Gianluca Rocco, Chief of Mission IOM BiH. The NATO awareness raising campaign also financed the production of 5 TV stories (5 minutes each) which gives relevant information about the NPP process as well as concrete examples of reintegration activities; stimulating potential beneficiaries to contact the NPP offices and start the counseling process.
